Anna (Haselhuhn) Haines - Matron of Honor-Sister of the Bride
Anna has known the bride the longest of this bunch. While Anna and Emma don’t share a hair color, or a last name anymore they are a brunette and a blonde with an unshakeable bond. Anna knew right away when she met Andrew that he was the perfect match for her outgoing, pink loving, brave little sister. Despite his long hair and east coast accent. ;)
Celia Stafford - Bridesmaid -Friend of the bride
Celia hails from North Carolina but she and Emma met while competing for Miss MA USA in Boston. Their friendship is a good case study for talking to strangers as Emma sent Celia a message on Instagram initiating the friendship, but they have been inseparable ever since. It is also Celia’s birthday on May 17th so if you get the pleasure of chatting with her, wish her a happy birthday!
Samantha Claypool - Bridesmaid -Friend of the bride
This friendship goes all the way back to middle school. Sam and Emma met at a marching band competition and Emma knew right away that she wanted to be just like Sam! They then went on to become co-drum majors of the marching band and life-long friends. This motorcycle driving, plane flying, redhead is the calm in any storm and the best friend a girl could ask for.
Sheri Gutch - Bridesmaid -Friend of the bride
Sheri has known Emma the second longest, only being beaten by Emma’s older sister. She and Emma grew up going to the same church but definitely got into their fair share of shenanigans together. Knowing someone as long as they have known each other it is truly a beautiful thing as they have been able to witness each other's lives. From the awkward stages of middle school to the successes in our professional careers and now visiting each other and traveling together this friendship is just so special.
Emily Tinsman Roeder - Bridesmaid-Friend of the Bride
We have Drake University and pageants to thank for this friendship! Emily and Emma were both involved in music at Drake. Through social media Emily learned that Emma participated in the Miss Iowa Organization, so she slid into Emma’s DMs. The two met to talk about all things pageantry and the rest is history. From then on, they competed in pageants, were active members of the music department at Drake, and watched A LOT of The Bachelor. While she might be tiny she is mighty and Emma is so fortunate to call her a friend.
Lauren Noonan - Personal Attendant-Friend of the Bride
Let me set the scene for you, Cape Cod Summer 2020. Emma had heard about Lauren and vice versa. When Emma and Lauren finally met, they clicked instantly. Shortly after Lauren moved into an apartment less than a mile from Emma in Sommerville and the pair became fast friends. When Lauren isn’t crushing it at work, she is most likely going to a workout class, watching Dancing with The Stars, or talking about, thinking about or flying to a Taylor Swift concert.
Nicole Wendell - Personal Attendant-Friend of the Bride
There are those people who are placed in your life when you least expect it but right when you need them and Nicole is that person. Hailing originally from Texas she considers herself and Iowan after living in the state for over a decade. Nicole and Emma met when Nicole interviewed her for an internship her senior year of college. At this internship Emma and Nicole became great friends and Emma moved in with Nicole the summer after graduation before she moved to the east coast. You will hear Nicole coming before you see her but that is because she has a true zest for life and makes everyone around her feel loved. Also, please ask Nicole about moving Emma out of her college apartment. You won’t regret it!
Dan Jacobs - Best Man-Cousin of the Groom
There are three things you need to know about Dan. 1.) He loves loons 2.) He works in insurance and 3.) He is allergic to and afraid of horses. Andrew and Dan’s closeness started during summers in Cape Cod at their Grammy and Papa’s house. They dug holes on the beach, swam in the ocean, rode (and sometimes flipped) bikes and in their teenaged years hanging out at the vines. To this day on most weekends Andrew and Dan can be found skiing in the white mountains, or on a beach in the Cape depending on the season. Or just yelling “Free Bird” in a dive bar.
McKinely Halpern-Reiss - Groomsmen-Friend of the Groom
The government recognizes him as McKinely but all of his friends call him Mac. Andrew and Mac met at Mass Maritime Academy when they both had buzz cut hair and played rugby. The pair reconnected later while working on the Liberty Clipper tall ship in Boston. Mac worked with Andrew and Emma the summer of 2018 when their love truly started to blossom. Andrew and Mac share an affinity for skiing, boats and boozin with the boys. Mac hails originally from Vermont but now can be found on boats all over the world in places such as Antartica and Japan.
Lincoln Dutcher - Groomsmen-Friend of the Groom
Andrew and Lincoln met while work on the Liberty Clipper tall ship. They were both working on the boat in the Bahamas when Emma and Andrew met. So Lincoln was there from the beginning of their epic love story. While Lincoln is a sailor at heart, he is also a history teacher in San Diego. When he isn’t molding the minds of the youth, he and his dad build wooden sailboats. (Literally so cool!)
Adam Richer - Groomsmen-Cousin of the Groom
Similar to Dan, Adam and Andrew’s friendship really blossomed during summers in Cape Cod at their Grammy and Papa’s house. The boy cousins all shared a room lovingly called “the boys room” where several shenanigans went down. Adam and Andrew share a love for the outdoors and specifically the White Mountains. Recently, Adam has done a few through hikes The Long Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail. Adam might be the funniest of all of the Groomsmen and an expert at the Irish Exit.
Greg Richer - Groomsmen-Cousin of the Groom
Greg is the oldest of the Richer cousins. There are several traits that all of the cousins possess but one is the Richer Whisper. You will definitely hear Greg before you see him. He is a phenomenal cook, rugby player and coach and is the proud Dad of Iggy and Fionn. In Andrew’s early years Greg kept Andrew alive by playing “Goalie of the Sea” keeping Andrew and his twin sister Kate out of the ocean while on the beach in Cape Cod.
