Emma was in college at Drake University and she took a J-Term study abroad trip to the Bahamas. She was very studious and focused on her education when she met this dashing man with unkempt hair, dazzling blue eyes, and a Boston accent. The class spent a week on the Schooner (Liberty Clipper) and after that, Emma and Andrew parted ways.

After a visit to Des Moines on his road trip to Alaska and a few months of texts and late-night phone calls exchanged Emma hopped on a flight (well it was actually three connecting flights) and took a chance.

Andrew and Emma put their relationship to its first big test by embarking on a month-long road trip in October of 2019. It started in Juneau, AK and it ended in Boston.

While there is a little debate on exactly when their first date was Emma and Andrew tend to mark their night out in Vancouver on their road trip as their first official date.

Andrew and Emma finally made it to Massachusetts, specifically to Cape Cod. It was a little over 7,000 miles and one whole month in the truck together. A trip of a lifetime and the first big adventure that the couple would embark on together.

Emma's first 4th of July in the Cape. Lots of beach time and meetings Andrew's childhood friends. Behind the sunglasses that Emma is wearing is the brand new black eye that she got from Andrew's cousin Adam the night before during a very competitive game of pool basketball.

Second winter in the White Mountain National Forrest. Emma was becoming a proficient skier!
